xfce4 on acer/aspire 2920 via thumb drive

posting this from war's laptop (warunee.)
simply inserted thumb drive preloaded with FreeBSD-8.1 image and asked smarn to enable booting from usb drive.

300gb of ad4 hard disk has been partitioned into 512m for root, 4g for swap, 40g for var, 90 for usr and the rest for home.

installed 'All' for and from  'USB'  'media' with as smooth as silk.

installed xfce4 set from xfce4 dvd and xorg too, though.

enabled both hald and dbus after doing 'X -configure', 'X -config /root/xorg.conf.new -retro' and noticing that an X mark stayed still.

it is likely that it, an X mark - a mouse, fears  two cats.

installed firefox from the same media.

have not yet install thai font and language switching via some .fdi files

life is so nice for today.
